Solution: Type App execution aliases in the windows 10 search bar, then uncheck the aliases for python.

I agree with you. Turns out the problem was related to a system vs user path. This answer helped me; I had unknowingly installed python in this directory instead of the usual directory — Novastorm.

Remember to restart the command prompt cmde.
