Update: this is a zero star program. It is not possible to monitor yourself while you are playing. There is no monitor function. I highly recommend against this program. I was looking for something for my PC that rivaled GarageBand, and unfortunately this was not it. There are multitudes of other software options that I suggest you check before spending money on this.

You need to have the willingness to learn the system. Back when I started using it computers were not as efficient as they are now. You need a minimal of a dual core processor in your computer and a really good interface.

If not you will have major playback issues and latency issues. This has always been a issue for me but I do use a laptop and always have. Maybe a decent desk top would be better? It reads well with external midi such as keyboards ect.

Also it reads the FX from other programs you have easily. I have never used the movie section but I plan on figuring this out this year. Maybe because I have used it so long is why I keep coming back to it. I have tried Cakewalk, Frootyloops, cubase and the destruction of music production pro tools which is fantastic yet way to expensive. I like Sony acid the best. The advertised \” loops\” was not included in the download and there is no place available to download them.

Luckily I already have a good sized library to work with. If you are buying this with the expectation of a loop folder to work with, re-think this purchase. See all reviews.
