Custom connections require less technical knowledge to build because Xero provides the authorisation flow. Custom connections can only be used to integrate with Xero organisations.

Once the Authy authenticator app has downloaded, open it. Confirm your verification option, enter the six-digit code you received via your verification option. Go back to Xero and copy the key. Return to Authy and paste in the key. Authy will start to generate a six-digit code, which changes every 30 seconds. Setting up your backup email or security questions means you will always have access to your Xero account.

Now if you have to file personal expenses you have to get a whole different membership subscription and use a whole different app.

It really defies the KISS principle and of course increases the cost to small business owners. Once the error was resolved I was able to pay the invoice. I requested a refund from Xero and after explaining what had happened they have offered me a refund.

Hello Charles, you can mark invoices and unpaid bills as \”paid\” by tapping on the round blue button in the top right of the invoice or bill to pay screen.
